Responsibility
proactively identifying and preventing electrical failures in a timely manner
carrying out like for like installations, refurbishment and assist with commissioning equipment to specification and on time
as an Apprentice Maintenance Technician , you will learn the craft of both Electrician, and Mechanical fitter, in this dual skilled role
as a Maintenance Technician working in water production on a water treatment works, you will be responsible for undertaking planned maintenance activities at our Welsh Water assets including water treatment works
reading and interpreting engineering drawings of various equipment to ensure correct tolerance and fits are maintained for efficient plant operation
A key element of this role will be planned maintenance of all Welsh Water’s asset types including wastewater Treatment works, or Sewage pumping stations and combined sewer overflows
you will contribute to safeguarding the environment now and for future generations, meeting and maintaining compliance in line with our environmental permits
your college / training provider will be Bridgend College
Requirements
A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or dual skilled engineering to at least NVQ level 3
driving licence
ability to work alone and as a member of a team
transferrable Experience to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S procedures
maintenance Knowledge of electrical systems, pumping systems, and rotating machinery, desirable but not essential
