vehicle technician
Responsibility
- conducting diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair solutions
- performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- repairing and replacing parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- running our spray booth
- conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and prevent future issues
- checking that the vehicle has been masked and prepared to the required standard
- collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure satisfaction
- mixing and matching colours
Requirements
- plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales
- work skilfully and safely under pressure
- preferably with ATA but not mandatory as Time Served Painters/Preppers are welcome to apply
- level 3 NVQ in automotive maintenance and repair or equivalent
- carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification
- proven experience as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar role
- work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision
- proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical issues in light commercial vehicles
