Responsibility
- loading & unloading lorries
- supervising a team of 10 skilled Operatives within a Warehouse / Yard environment
- order picking and preparation
- safe and proper use of diverse lifting equipment
- stock rotation
- best allocation of people and resources to achieve planned activity targets
- general housekeeping
- adherence to Health & safety procedures and best practice
Requirements
- team management / supervision
- experience gained in a warehouse, yard or transport type environment
- understanding and application of Health & Safety policies and procedures
- computer literate including bar code scanning technology
- systems surrounding stock management, goods in & out, despatch etc
- working to a strict daily plan or work schedule
- fit and able to work in a drafty warehouse / outdoor transport yard environment
- previous experience of using lifting equipment would be advantageous
