Responsibility

assess customer risk profile in accordance with the operating principles and standard to ensure a high-quality customer experience
consistently deliver high standards of service, accuracy, and efficiency
proactively highlight conditions that are preventing you from servicing demands, and ensure that you do not create waste
support the senior underwriter as point of contact for less experienced members of the team
make suggestions for improvement, and act where appropriate based on knowledge and data. Own changes implementing where you can, pulling in support where needed and escalating where required
working cohesively with all team members in the attainment of service excellence for the Protection customer
preparing and issuing standard and non-standard customer terms using the templates provided and to adjust templates when non-standard
using mechanisms in place to request medical evidence, including writing to the customer and obtaining information from third parties
following agreed processes to ensure that this assessment is carried out with fair outcomes for the customer and in line with governance requirements in relation to life and disability applications
providing information / undertaking tasks in response to customer requests or as dictated by product / company requirements, ensuring that the work processed meet agreed company & customer service standards & conforms to legal, regulatory & business standards
managing queries that come into the team mailbox within 48 hours. To challenge existing processes in a professional, clear and logical way and be supportive of process improvements to improve the experience of the Protection customer
