Requirements

qualified accountant / CTA /ATT preferred although candidates qualified by experience would also be considered
UK corporate tax background preferred with international tax exposure helpful
experience in financial services or dealing with large corporate groups an advantage
strong preference for action and flexibility
trusted, creates a credible impression and builds relationships built on respect
analytical and problem solving skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
an ability to adapt to change and a natural drive towards continuous improvement
accounting qualification and or degree
financial Services corporate tax experience such as VAT or Corporate tax returns
tax reporting experience
tax technical skills
FATCA experience
accountancy qualification – Big 4 trained ACA
in-depth UK tax experience including extensive tax reporting experience
international experience
experience in tax compliance, tax reporting under IFRS and UK controlled foreign company rules
approximately 8+ years of post-qualification experience
financial Accounting: understands how financial accounts are prepared, can analyse those accounts to determine their tax impact
3-5 years working experience with excise duties and other product-related taxes

Responsibility

produce tax provisions and related management information required for group financial reporting
holds self and other accountable - Accepts accountability for what has been agreed will be delivered
provision of a comprehensive tax reporting to support the business as it continues to grow both in the UK and internationally
think strategically to create automated processes to streamline the tax repoting model
an effective corporate tax provision process to support our client year end and quarterly reporting
day to day management of external advisers and outsource providers, including oversight of corporate tax compliance
support overseas tax reporting to a high standard under IFRS principles
management and oversight of effective processes to meet external and internal tax profile reporting requirements, including country by country reporting
maintenance and development of an effective tax risk and controls framework for the business
support data collection for transfer pricing documentation
prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and prepare tax book
prepare Corporate Tax and VAT returns
prepare FATCA/CRS reports and Forms 1099, 1043, 1043-S
provide technical guidance where required
tax Manager and Analyst
work on local tax related issues
work on tax control processes
provide tax advisory support into business projects
review and feedback on tax reporting for the European markets
providing tax support to the team on M&A projects, which will include tax modelling, structuring, due diligence, and integration
