Requirements

experience of working on an operational finance transformation programme
experience of acquisition/integration within an Insurance environment
knowledge of general insurance products, services and classes of insurance
A minimum of 6 years of project and programme management experience
knowledge of relevant UK insurance related regulations
at least 5 years' post qualification experience
extensive experience in IFRS reporting
experience of technical policy and review of accounts
experience within large organisations, similar in size and structure to L&G
must be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders
strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
senior Project Manager or Senior PMO Manager
knowledge of MicroStrategy reporting would be advantageous
financial services experience - ideally within medium sized environments
understanding of financial and commercial reporting
ideally finance transformation experience - working with finance SME's
proven ability and desire to deliver change
wider business change experience
excellent stakeholder management
experience as a Finance Manager/Lead

Responsibility

orientate on our chart of accounts, data model design and P&L reporting accountabilities at operating board level
engage with the FP&A and business partnering teams and align on deliverable by team and by operating board accountability
solid understanding of data and reporting to enable good level of accountability throughout the teams
develop and manage a critical path & plan for all activities required to deliver new reports
hold teams to account on delivery, escalate appropriately and ensure alignment on deliverable across the business
work with the commercial finance teams and project leads to manage delivery of the new reporting tools to finance teams, commercial buying teams and the wider commercial business
work closely with colleagues across the technology and data engineering teams to ensure deadlines are met, risks and issues are managed and in parallel circulate key messages appropriately
accountability for Financial Planning, delivering the annual Budget & quarterly re-forecasts
lead and develop a high-powered team of qualified professionals
create high level test plans to determine testing levels for each project
holds career development and performance conversations with their team
design test cases in accordance with requirements specifications
one-to-one coaching to team members
create and execute test specifications
ensures there are clear objectives and escalates blockers to delivery as appropriate
ownership and implementation of the Finance Data Strategy, including associated education, business change, policies and documentation
managing several data initiatives in readiness for/ in advance of implementation of the Finance Systems roadmap
refinement of the newly designed chart of accounts, including business readiness and oversight of data cleanse
driving the Data Learning agenda within the Finance function in conjunction with the Chief Data Office
on- Boarding Business Units to the Data Governance operating model
