  • IPAF license
  • painting: 1 year
  • experience in prep work is essential, especially dustless sanding and masking

Responsibility

  • dustless sanding using specialist equipment
  • filling and repairing walls to a smooth finish
  • general preparation of interiors before spray painting
  • maintaining cleanliness and organisation on-site
  • painter to provide just the labour and achieve finishing 1 property per day
  • prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary
  • apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and design options
  • ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines
  • maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and setup for each project
  • ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practices
  • maintain your own tools and equipment in good working order
  • collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
  • to carry out Painting works and relevant trade duties as instructed by the Supervisor on Responsive, Planned, Empty Homes, High Value Repairs or Capital Repairs to an excellent standard upon completion
  • to plan and organise workload to maximise productive time and ensure the best service to customers. This includes dealing with urgent and emergency repairs and ensuring, as far as practicable, that all appointments and targets are met
  • to promptly inform a scheduler planner/supervisor of any unanticipated problems or delays that might impact on appointments for that day, so that work can be rescheduled
  • to provide regular updates and information to supervisors/scheduler planner team and other colleagues to assist with ordering of materials, planning and scheduling of work
  • prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections
