Responsibility

to carry out Painting works and relevant trade duties as instructed by the Supervisor on Responsive, Planned, Empty Homes, High Value Repairs or Capital Repairs to an excellent standard upon completion
to plan and organise workload to maximise productive time and ensure the best service to customers. This includes dealing with urgent and emergency repairs and ensuring, as far as practicable, that all appointments and targets are met
to promptly inform a scheduler planner/supervisor of any unanticipated problems or delays that might impact on appointments for that day, so that work can be rescheduled
to provide regular updates and information to supervisors/scheduler planner team and other colleagues to assist with ordering of materials, planning and scheduling of work

the ideal candidate will have experience in the painting industry, be able to work independently, and possess strong attention to detail. The Decorator must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer service skills
liaise with merchants to obtain the correct materials to complete tasks
undertake associated duties as agreed in the flexible working agreement in order to contribute to groups ‘one job one visit’ objective
to operate within a scheduled appointment system including liaison with customers, other team members in order to effectively undertake the works
use all necessary painting/decorator tools plant and equipment associated with the post and painting/decorator duties undertaken
manage materials as effectively as possible with regards to minimising waste, choice of specification and logistics
to carry out all types of repairs & maintenance works both internally and externally, including drainage, fencing, decorating, small maintenance tasks, demolition and alteration works and remedial works in order to complete projects to the customer or client satisfaction as directed by your line manager or other nominated designate
to undertake pre-measuring work in order to assess works required and ensure its completion
