prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary
apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project requirements
repair or replace damaged plaster or drywall before painting
ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes
maintain tools and equipment in good working order
communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress
adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site
preparing walls and surfaces for painting, including wallpaper removal and sanding
applying primer, undercoats, and topcoats of paint to walls, ceilings, and woodwork
decorative finishes, including glossing skirting boards, architraves, and doors
working with a range of paint types and finishes to achieve high-quality results
repairing and priming surfaces where necessary, including minor plaster patching before painting
