Requirements


  • understanding of contract negotiation and contract/supplier management best practise is essential
  • understanding of supplier governance and its implementation for different agreements/services - particularly relating to PRA compliance, will be required
  • experience in large organisations, similar in size and structure to L&G will be essential - ideally within financial services
  • experience with Sharepoint would be beneficial
  • A strong understanding of contract law to be able to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and to be able to ensure supplier delivery to the required quality will be required
  • the ability to produce packs, reports and presentations with meaningful MI would be advantageous
  • A demonstrable knowledge of techniques to deliver continuous cost savings and add value to business units is a must for the role
  • this role will involve influencing and networking - candidates with a desire to lead large teams need not apply
  • excellent interpersonal and project management skills with a track record of building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and good influencing skills is essential
  • solid background within a Service Desk Manager or Desktop Manager role
  • demonstrable background in Team Management and Leadership
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification as well as demonstrable working knowledge
  • fantastic communication skills both written and verbally
  • ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • be able to commit to travelling into office 4 x per week as well as travel to other offices 1 x per month
  • you must have strong Azure cloud experience and Microsoft active directory knowledge
  • you need knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • an understanding of PowerShell scripting, process automation
  • A good understanding of networking principles as applied to LAN, WAN and Cloud configurations
  • knowledge of VMware Virtual server and SAN technologies

Responsibility


  • acting as a key advocate for a controls culture across Legal and General IT, including leading the engagement with second line risk management, and with auditors
  • we are looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join us. You'll be responsible for the management of the commercial and contractual relationships with allocated key suppliers, throughout the lifecycle of the agreement
  • ensuring support and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • implement a formal supplier management framework for all applicable suppliers including driving the delivery of supplier Account Development Plans in order to identify opportunities to improve the level of service or reduce cost
  • monitor and analyse supplier performance, ensure and agree and implement improvement plans with suppliers, monitor supplier engagement
  • engage with suppliers and partners, ensure that suppliers are monitored and managed consistent with the terms set out in contracts, and notify management where there are discrepancies
  • delivering oversight, advisory and guidance on all risks related to Change Management
  • supporting as needed the digital/technology transformation of the bank from a technical risk management perspective
  • developing effective and collaborative relationships with all 1LoD and Group key stakeholders
  • supporting the Head of Cyber and New Technologies Operational Risk to bring together a holistic picture of the technology risk across the organisation
  • acting as an SME across risk areas of specialism, regarded throughout risk and key business areas as the first point of call for advice
  • leading and delivering technology designs to enhance the company’s Infrastructure and Cloud services
  • managing and supporting the infrastructure platforms providing excellent service availability
  • maintaining the Development and Test systems, ensuring they are kept in sync with production
  • managing the deployment of application/system changes in accordance with the change management process
  • ensuring all Infrastructure items are kept up to date with all necessary software patches and updates
  • assisting with any software release deployments
  • monitoring and development of platform system health and the implementation of effective disaster recovery
  • documenting all new technical fixes in the Service Desk tool and update departmental documentation and procedures enabling the sharing of knowledge to peers and colleagues
