strong experience in the hands on consolidation/ audit of consolidations of accounts at group level is essential

advanced knowledge of IFRS standards

Responsibility

NEW Group Financial Controller in leading global law firm
as the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing financial leadership, technical accounting advice and support to the Group
as well as being responsible for preparing the group financial results, fiscal compliance and statutory requirements
managing the Group Audit and other technical accounting related matters for the organisation
working closely with the finance leadership team, Global CFO community, Support Heads, Treasury Team and the Audit Committee
role and responsibilities
ownership of the delivery of the group accounts consolidation, financial accounts and related compliance
lead the group audit and coordinate the overall global audit process and relationship
keep abreast of technical accounting changes in the role of technical finance expert
responsible for considering impact on the group, writing recommendation papers and explaining these to management
support in implementing a new Internal Controls of Financial Reporting framework
lead the coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided in a timely manner
provide leadership to Tax, Finance Reporting and International Compliance & Controls ensuring a high quality of financial service is provided across the business
provide sufficient support, review and co-ordination of statutory accounts and financial statements processes and filings, both in the UK & internationally
deputise for BBCS Group Finance Director as needed
ensure robust internal controls around our financial reporting processes: maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard the integrity of financial data and compliance with financial reporting standards and all regulatory requirements
ensure BBCS stays within its financial quotas e.g. borrowing limit and banking covenants
identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive monitoring and control measures, ensuring the organisation’s financial stability and integrity
provide leadership on financing requirements and oversight of liability management
this role will report to the Group Finance Director, BBCS and be responsible for internal management reporting, external reporting, audit liaison, accounting policy and control assurance including ICFR implementation and global tax compliance
