Requirements


  • electronics degree
  • UK Electronics degree
  • practical skills such as soldering ability would be an advantage although training will be given
  • articulate
  • good communication skills with people of all levels
  • free for assessment centre on June 14th or June 28th
  • exposure to an R&D environment outside of your degree
  • degree in electronic engineering, physics or similar from a recognised university
  • able to work full time on site at their Crawley facility from September this year
  • masters level degree in electronic engineering, physics or similar from a recognised university
  • A record of high achievement within academics, extracurriculars or employment is highly desirable
  • A record of high achievement within academics, extracurricular or employment is highly desirable
  • passion for engineering, design, creation and innovation
  • practical electronics experience either in or out of university
  • 2:1 or First class accredited degree in electronic engineering
  • good degree in a relevant subject
  • demonstrable good understanding of electronics fundamentals
  • experience of hardware designs
  • experience of writing HDL code or microcontroller firmware is desirable but not essential
  • experience using standard laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers

Responsibility


  • communicating with customers and establishing their needs in the form of thorough technical specifications. This will sometimes require visits to customers
  • designing, building and testing electronic circuits to meet the needs of the technical specification
  • communicating with customers regarding the detail of projects and resolving issues
  • compiling design specifications
  • liaison with CAD PCB layout personnel to ensure PCB layout matches design specification
  • dealing with all manufacturing issues and troubleshooting
  • verification and validation of completed products including trials with customers
  • cutting, strapping and modification as necessary to overcome design issues
  • completing design files such that design is fully transportable and sustainable
  • the post holder will be required to comply with all policies and procedures issued by and on behalf of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd
  • location: Cambridge, UK
  • work Closely as part of the electronics systems team to develop high quality cost effective electronic/electrical systems
  • develop Electronic and Electrical systems
  • develop new analogue and digital electronics for embedded control systems
  • develop new embedded control systems software for 32-bit microcontrollers
  • debug new and existing electronic/electrical systems in product and in development environment
  • design and develop electrical systems including power management and distribution
  • support idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews
  • technical skills should include digital design, schematic entry and basic PCB Layout
  • the company are also looking for a Graduate Embedded Software Engineer if you prefer coding
