Requirements

proven experience as a CFO ideally gained within a Technology of Finance Services associated organisation
excellence knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
previous experience of transforming a finance function would be advantageous to the position
ability to problem solve and see the wider picture

A relevant Accountancy Qualification i.e. ACA, ACCA or CIMA
strong Commercial understanding - this role will need an individual that isn't just Finance focused, part of the position will work closely with the CEO to assist in the over company strategy & operations

be an existing S151 officer in a Local Authority

Responsibility

this role is fully remote however, the candidate must live within a 1 hour commute from the DL8 area

co-ordinating and directing the preparation of the budget
take responsibility for ensuring the effective financial systems and processes are in place in order to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as reporting and planning the needs of the business

in conjunction with the Director of Strategy Performance and Governance, responsible for the review and implementation of business process changes that drive further efficiencies and cost savings within the Council
