experience in a high growth startup/scale-up environment, ideally in the Technology/Online Retail space
previous Group Finance Director experience
this role requires an experienced finance professional , a Finance Director who can hit the ground running
degree educated, and a qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA with at least 10 years PQE
excellent knowledge of accounting principles,financial regulations and reporting standards
experience in technology, telco, infrastructure or energy sectors highly advantageous
deep understanding of commercial finance and business strategy
an excellent team player with a confident, outgoing personality and a commercial mindset
A strong communicator who has the ability to implement and influence change at all levels
able to lead the BBCS with long-term vision using cutting edge creative, technical and/or professional skills
understanding of taxation, financial controllership at group level
ability to critically assess and shape multi-year financial strategy
prior experience of holding senior finance director leadership roles in a matrix managed production or media businesses

Responsibility

develop and execute the financial strategy
devise, develop and deliver their corporate fundraising strategy to secure new investment
monitor and report on the company’s financial performance
provide support and guidance from a finance perspective on all their M&A activity
implement financial best practices including budgetary and departmental management reporting
manage key relationships, both internal and external, for the organisation including with the board and investors
draft, review and complete all financial documentation
this is an exciting opportunity to join a household name in the tech and financial services industry
overall responsibility in all areas of the finance function of the business, including all aspects of budgeting and forecasting
coach and bolster out a team, currently made up of 5 individuals, with room to grow
deputise for the CFO when required
driving increased profitability as revenues continue to grow
developing the Financial Planning and Analysis function of the business in line with revenue targets
prepare budgeting systems to deal with problems presented in the current economic climate
gear up for fundraises and IPO/sale over the next few years
assisting in the continued growth of business
