Requirements

city & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 NVQ Level 2-3 Electrical or equivalent with 18th Edition IEE Regs
working knowledge of SFG20 Maintenance Specification
health and Safety Training within a similar environment
good knowledge of electrical systems, building services /utilities arrangements in a maintenance environment
excellent all-round ability in a busy building maintenance team
membership of a professional engineering body is desirable
extensive experience of working within a multi-disciplinary technical team within complex facilities incorporating maintenance and engineering services is essential
A good level of IT skills - MS Office, CAFM systems, job management etc
knowledge of Asset management / CAFM / use of PDA's to manage workflow
ability to take instruction and react to the needs of the department and prioritise workload accordingly
ideally IoSH to Certificate level
good decision-making skills
electrical Engineering: 4 years
time served apprentice or equivalent
formal electrical and mechanical qualification
experience in the Food/FMCG industry
engineering qualified; City & Guilds, ONC, BTEC Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
strong Health and Safety awareness

Responsibility

help to ensure the Maintenance team complete full self-delivery of all possible tasks within region
to complete PPMs and reactive work orders within given timescales and with accurate information
ensure compliance with H&S inductions and the supervision of contractors working on systems under the jurisdiction of ISS
coordinate shut down of systems as and when required
manage the consumables and critical spare parts stock levels for sites, including identifying and updating as appropriate to the electrical discipline
support out-of-hours response in emergency situations and support engineering call out rota as and when necessary, as part of role, and to implement any necessary escalation procedures to the engineering management team as and when required
