  • due to continued growth, they now seek an experienced Media Field Sales Consultant to sell advertising packages direct to SMEs across the above region
  • 3 years' experience within advertising and/or sponsorship in a similar commercial role
  • experience selling print and online/digital advertising
  • previous account management and development of account experience
  • ability to consistently achieve targets
  • IT literate with good experience of MS Office and using CRM systems
  • excellent customer service skills
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to work to set deadlines and prioritise own workload
  • 3 years’ experience within advertising and/or sponsorship in a similar commercial role

Responsibility


  • external account management experience
  • researching potential clients and developing new business opportunities
  • selling advertising and exhibition space to clients
  • cold calling potential clients
  • maintaining existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to upsell
  • preparing proposals and negotiating contracts with clients
  • attending industry events and conferences
  • international travel will be required
  • keep accurate records of any sales activity secured
  • research and develop a list of potential advertisers and/or sponsors for each project activity
  • keep a precise records of conversations with all clients, advertisers and sponsors within the CRM system
  • identify and validate any prospects
  • effectively raise secondary income for the business through the sale of advertising and sponsorship packages for publications, events, company-related awards and other projects
  • effectively negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • liaise with the Operations Manager, Events Project Manager and New Business Development Officer in respect of sharing sales information and target updates
  • develop and maintain relationships with existing clients
  • ensure that agreements are signed, and any required purchase order numbers are obtained from advertisers and sponsors before confirming the sale
  • utilise telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools to reach and exceed the budgeted advertising and sponsorship targets
  • raise invoices for advertisers and sponsors in a timely manner and follow up where necessary
