Responsibility
this will involve ensuring that the Chief Executive is provided with effective guidance and support
the post-holder will have a key leadership role, ensuring that the organisation can act effectively, and fulfil its obligations as a statutory body
there will be a need for flexibility and creativity as the organisation continues to evolve and develop its role and functions, and its organisational capacity
the post-holder will lead the work of the Operations function, ensuring that the organisation and Board is effectively supported to deliver its functions
you will manage the staff and resources available to the organisation to design, procure and deliver high quality, robust governance and corporate services
deputising for the Chief Executive as required
the Director of Operations will also provide leadership on particular pieces of work that the Chief Executive identifies as part of their work plan
supporting the Chief Executive in developing a vision for Consumer Scotland as a highly competent, reliable, respected, accessible, transparent and accountable independent consumer advocacy body and providing leadership and direction to the organisation through setting the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
