Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
- valid driver's license Preferable
- experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting
- experience working in children services or related fields is preferable
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations and needs
- understanding of child development, safeguarding, and child protection
Responsibility
- provide day-to-day support to children and young people in a residential care setting
- build positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing
- encourage and support children and young people to engage in education, leisure, and social activities
- attend to the practical needs of the children and young people, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children and young people's care, progress, and development
- work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and support is provided to the children and young people in our care
