- experience of working in an operation with quality and health and safety systems
- A demonstrable period of plant operating experience with one or more of the following – cherry picker, scissor lift, or other industrial equipment
- to abide by & promote Health & Safety, ensuring all approved Company safety policies & processes and other relevant legislation is followed
- to abide by & promote Health & Safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed
- you may at times be required to carry out duties not shown in the outline job description above
- working with contractors, including the issuing of Permits to Work and observational monitoring
- to ensure that tools required for tasks are kept in good condition and that all defects are reported immediately
- to perform other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
Requirements
- city & Guild or NVQ level 3 or equivalent within an Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- be qualified to city and guilds level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering
- have served an electrical engineering maintenance apprenticeship and/or have a demonstrable period of plant/mechanical maintenance experience
- have a good understanding of mechanical maintenance and be prepared to undertake mechanical engineering works on the plant
- heavy industrial experience advantageous
- experience of fault finding and use of Programmable Logic Control
- knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous as would fabrication skills such as welding, etc
