- we are a principal contractor specialising in M&E biased projects, seeking a Health & Safety Manager ideally with experience in Construction, pharmaceutical, healthcare and industrial sectors
- excellent communication skills and being able to work alongside colleagues at all leveles is key for this role
- the main purpose of this role is to provide Health & Safety Management across all projects to support the various project teams, ensuring the effective delivery of the organisation's Health & Safety responsibilities

- you will collaborate with employees, oversee the H&S operations within the company, communicate with management and take part in planning the needs of the company including administrative tasks in relation to Health & Safety procedures to ensure the Company is compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- effective communication of Health & Safety matters across all areas
- location: Ware, Hertfordshire/Flexibility with other sites
- reports to: Contracts Manager
- responsible For: Company wide Health and Safety compliance, adherence and innovation
- booking and liaising with training providers to ensure all employees have the necessary qualifications to be competent in their roles and managing the Company training matrix
- hours of work: 07.30 – 16.30
- familiarisation and Reviewing of Construction Phase Plans Daily, Weekly and Monthly H&S Inspections
- you will work closely with the Health and Safety teams of Clients and Suppliers to manage the company’s Health & Safety Management system and report to senior members of the Company in weekly team meetings
- planning, scheduling and undertaking of Weekly Health and Safety Inspections of JMG Projects
- monitoring production and content of Daily Site Diaries
- investigating any near misses/accidents on sites producing subsequent reports and recommendations
- attending Client Health and Safety meetings
- planning, scheduling and undertaking of Monthly Health and Safety Audit inspections of JMG Projects
- ensure compliance with current Construction Health and Safety legislation, rules and regulations
