Requirements
- significant experience of managing R&D claims and personnel within an R&D tax department of an accounting practice or a large boutique
- excellent working knowledge of R&D tax incentives

- some knowledge of Capital Gains Tax and fund accounting concepts, as well as general taxation

- strong communication skills
- the ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects simultaneously, as well as experience managing junior staff
- the ability and drive to collaborate well in a team and invest in the development of junior team members
Responsibility
- you will be required to undertake a comprehensive list of duties that will challenge and stretch you on a daily basis
- pro-actively ensure that all relevant risk procedures are adhered to on engagements, in addition to taking financial responsibility for engagements, and
- manage relationships with HMRC in relation to R&D tax relief claims, including leading discussions and negotiations with HMRC
- the team typically acts as a centralised international tax advisor, managing global tax workstreams and providing a UK based single point of contact for clients
- you will lead the preparation and review of R&D tax claims, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
- review and approve R&D tax relief claims prepared by the team
- contribute to the development of best practice within the R&D team to drive continual improvements in service delivery and client satisfaction
- I'm working on a new role within a leading mid-tier accountancy practice who are looking to expand their successful R&D tax team at the Senior Manager level
