Responsibility
ensuring that all residents receive quality medical and personal care and that care plans are fully maintained
to manage the Home in the absence of the Home Manager/Deputy Home Manager in line with the company guidelines
conduct staff supervisions and appraisals in line with the company policy and to meet with external regulator guidelines
responsible for consistently monitoring and leading the standard of care being delivered by care home staff to all service users to ensure it is at the optimum levels at all times
attend and encourage staff to attend all relevant staff meetings
responsible for monitoring the state of wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variation
act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are promptly investigated and dealt with appropriately
understand your personal responsibilities in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act including a working knowledge of COSHH assessments
Requirements
registered Nurse Qualification
evidence of on-going continuing professional development linked to demonstrate clinical competencies
36 months post registration
relevant experience managing a team within care home setting
experience in quality and clinical governance programmes including audit and care services
experience of coordinating and managing residents care plans, detailed risk assessments with a understanding of regulatory frameworks
previous experience of working with residents suffering with dementia
experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints Supervision and managerial experience
