James Jones & Sons Ltd is a 5th generation family-owned business and one of the UK’s largest and most progressive timber processing companies with core activities in timber harvesting, sawmilling, pallets & packaging and distribution.We operate seven sawmills throughout Scotland and the northeast of England: an engineered wood manufacturing plant in the north of Scotland and pallet and packaging operations at 15 sites across the UK. We produce high quality, British grown timber for the UK construction, landscaping, and agricultural sectors; market-leading JJI-Joists for the housebuilding and construction markets and pallets and packaging for blue chip domestic and exporting businesses.Due to continued growth, we require an additional Sales Administrator working as part of an established sales team based in our Head Office in Larbert, Stirlingshire.The role is varied, although key tasks and responsibilities include:· Assist and handle a variety of customer enquiries received via telephone and e-mail.· Interrogate our stock management system to establish availability of stock.· Understand product ranges and be able to offer alternative products which may facilitate a quicker lead time.· Coordinate with production planners and despatchers to establish lead times to fulfil customer orders, the communicate this information to our customers.· Sales order processing: Input details against individual customer requirements using our Sales order processing system (Lumber Track) and issue order confirmations.· Process customer orders through to conclusion to ensure customer satisfaction.· Respond to customer enquiries about outstanding orders – for example expected delivery dates.· Assist external field sales team with compiling and distributing price lists.· Support external field sales team with pricing & stock availability, whilst they are
