A motivated individual able to work on own initiative

at least 2 years’ experience working as a Swimming Teacher
HSE recognized First Aid qualiﬁcation
knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures, including ﬁrst aid and standard resuscitation measures
good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with fellow colleagues and members of the public
to be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others
flexible attitude towards working arrangements
swim Teaching: 1 year
UK Recognised Level 2 Swimming Qualification
national Pool Lifeguard Qualification / National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers

to carry out any other duty as requested by your Line Manager
to ensure safe preparation, provision and storage of equipment
to ongoingly assess all pupils
to plan and deliver Swim England accredited lessons in line with the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme
to undertake necessary training to maintain qualifications and attend additional training sessions as requested
to manage, maintain and update registers and awards records
## Job Summary
delivering safe, high quality, progressive swimming lessons appropriate to the level of class and individual
identifying individual’s needs and ensure these needs are met, providing additional support as required
communicate effectively and regularly with the swim teacher manager to ensure the smooth running of the Swim School
communicate regularly with all teaching staﬀ to ensure the smooth running of the Swim School
lesson planning, setting up and down of equipment, open and close down procedures
ensuring that all equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use
ensure that swimming lessons operate within the Swim School Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plan and in line with the risk assessment controls
ensure sessions run to time
assisting customers with enquiries proactively, in a friendly and efficient manner
maintain high standards of customer care
teach children how to swim
make sure that all of the children are safe when swimming
hold swimming classes for children of different ages
