Requirements

swim England Level 2 Teaching
A motivated individual able to work on own initiative
chigwell: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
be familiar with and follow the Swim England LTS awards

help us maintain our high quality 1:1 and 2:1 childrens and adult lessons
provide proof of at least 2+ years experience in the industry

A Swim England Level 2/STA Award/Full Certificate is required
the successful applicant will be friendly, patient, well organised and able to inspire confidence and motivate our customers
applicants will hold the Swim England Level 2 Teaching Qualification and a further qualification in teaching Baby & Toddler lessons is desired

previous experience as a swim instructor or in a similar role is preferred
strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices

Responsibility

to carry out any other duty as requested by your Line Manager
to ensure safe preparation, provision and storage of equipment
to ongoingly assess all pupils
to plan and deliver Swim England accredited lessons in line with the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme
to undertake necessary training to maintain qualifications and attend additional training sessions as requested
to manage, maintain and update registers and awards records
teach children how to swim
make sure that all of the children are safe when swimming
hold swimming classes for children of different ages
ensure that the pool is safe for use
being fully aware of the Centre's Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Procedures
salary up to £30,118.40 pro rata dependent on experience
post Title: Lead Swimming Teacher
pay: £19.25 per hour
contract : Part Time
location: York
teach swimming lessons to individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels
to work with other teachers and swimming assistants to deliver high quality lessons
develop and implement lesson plans based on participants' abilities and goals
provide instruction on swimming techniques, water safety, and proper form
