Requirements


  • certification in sports therapy/physiotherapy/sports science, with a specialization in sports massage preferred
  • proven experience in providing sports massage therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds and fitness levels
  • strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics as they relate to sports and exercise
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
  • A passion for helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals

  • bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy/ Sports Rehabilitation

Responsibility


  • provide education and advice to patients on injury prevention, management, and performance enhancement
  • provide high quality treatment to clients, including athletes and fitness enthusiasts
  • assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to address their specific goals and concerns
  • utilize a variety of massage techniques to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and accelerate recovery
  • educate clients on proper self-care strategies and exercises to complement their massage therapy sessions
  • maintain accurate client records and documentation of treatments
  • collaborate with other members of the wellness team to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • to undertake the assessment of both acute and chronic conditions that may present in clinic
  • carry out subjective forms and consultations with clients
  • carry out hands on manual therapy techniques including Sports Massage
  • lead gym based rehabilitation sessions
  • attend monthly CPD sessions
  • provide rehabilitation exercises and manual therapy to aid in recovery and enhance performance
  • educate clients on injury prevention, proper techniques, and overall health and wellness
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • develop and implement personalised treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs and goals, in line with the latest evidence based research
  • to be able to provide evidence based clinical assessment and develop a treatment and rehabilitation plan based on findings
  • to deliver effective care and treatments using active and, when needed, passive treatments, manual therapy and exercise
  • deliver and monitor rehabilitation programmes appropriate to any injury/sport/work alongside appropriate return to activity advice
  • complete all work with accordance with your relevant governing body guidelines
