Responsibility
ensure the Park is well maintained and ready to open
delegate daily tasks and ensuring that a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times
assist with training new starters and team members
maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, setting an example to the wider team
assist with the set up and delivery of special events throughout the year
lead and motivate the Farm Park Team on days the park is open, being the main point of contact during opening hours
look for ways to enhance the customer experience with new ideas, operational improvements, and the day-to-day running of the park
deputise for the Farm Park Manager/Assistant Manager in their absence, working alongside other Managers to ensure the smooth running of the park and key operations within it such as Graze Café and Animal Barn

feeding, cleaning out and caring for our animals, making sure that we comply with the highest standards of animal welfare
managing breeding programmes and birthing among our cattle, sheep, pigs, alpacas and goats, assisted by the wider team
working with our Maintenance and Farm teams to make sure that all of our animals have appropriate housing, paddocks and enrichment
administering medication and working with our veterinary team on a vaccination programme
purchasing animal feed and supplies, and working on feeding plans
supported by our Animal Care Team, you will be oversee all aspects of husbandry for our calves, sheep, pigs, ponies, deer, goats and alpacas as well as our small animals and poultry
responsible for all paperwork and record-keeping relating to our animals; this includes movement records, opening/closing checks, administering medicines, health checks and making sure that we are compliant with our Animal Activities Licence
ensure that the Animal Barn Team comply with industry guidelines for livestock activities
Requirements
you must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience of working with livestock in an agricultural environment
extremely high standards of presentation and care for our livestock at all times
an excellent communicator – with the wider team, the Animal Barn team and our visitors
enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the breeds we keep
A friendly, calm and confident manner with excellent customer service skills
agricultural qualification or Further Education in a relevant subject. Applicants with significantly more relevant experience would be considered without a formal qualification
A flexible approach and able to work additional hours when required

deputising for, and working alongside our Manager our Supervisors will also lead the team in the Manager's absence being the main point of contact during opening hours

A passion for hospitality, with experience gained in a similar or relevant environment

proven success of managing a large Front of House team, leading from within the team and always striving to deliver great customer service
you will be required to work one day each weekend, across the site as required
this is an operational role and therefore working hours will vary depending on the wedding and event schedule, and park activities
