job Description Post Title HR Manager Band 7 Directorate Human Resources Location/Base Harrop House, Prestwich Responsible to Head of HR Accountable to Associate Director of Operational HR Job Summary/Purpose To manage and lead the provision of business partner support to senior managers within a designated group of directorates and the provision of expert human resources management advice, offer guidance on human resources policy to support organisational change and workforce planning & productivity initiatives
to develop and support the implementation of workforce planning, programmes and policies to enable the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives and increase workforce productivity
to work with the identified directorates to link the services needs with the corporate HR agenda, working in partnership with managers, staff side representatives, staff and other partners in ensuring that the Trust is an employer of choice and adopting excellent employment practice
main Duties & Responsibilities Heading Duty/Responsibility Business Partner Act as a strategic business partner to the designated directorates, senior management and their teams, develop thorough understanding of the business plans and HR issues to ensure that their workforce requirements are identified and support planned and delivered on a timely basis
employee Relations Take responsibility for the management of complex employee relations cases through advice and coaching, ensure the approach is pragmatic
develop the management capability of line managers, coaching and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities in line with the Trusts strategic direction
