  • the Architectural Technician role consists of liaising with and supporting clients on a large range of design projects
  • selecting the best materials and processes for the project
  • surveying sites, site measured surveys and identifying location benefits
  • project design under the direction of a Building Surveyor/ Architect
  • carrying out feasibility studies and risk assessments
  • analysing architectural plans and drawings, highlighting any possible risks or problems, and making amendments using computer-aided design applications

Requirements

  • previous experience working as an architectural technician or Assistant Architect
  • relevant qualification in Architectural Technology/ Design
  • professional awareness and knowledge in Construction technology and methods
  • willingness to work towards professional architectural accreditation
  • experience of working within the construction industry and commercial awareness of the construction process
  • good technical grounding in all main areas of Architectural Technology
  • A client-centric outlook, with an ambition to deliver projects meeting client objectives effectively
  • ability to multitask and prioritize workload
