About the role and the team We are recruiting to fill a Young People Support Worker role at our service in Stockport, Manchester. The appointed candidates will join the team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent basis. As a Young People Support Worker , you will manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs. This will involve running group sessions and other key activities within the supported accommodation to help the young people’s individual development and social engagement. You will ensure the accommodation is properly maintained and take an active role in the upkeep of the physical spaces of the accommodation. Kindly note that you will work a rolling rota of daytimes, evenings and weekends (some shifts will be lone working) including bank holidays to ensure that young people have full staff support during their most difficult times. The appointed candidate will work as a senior member of the team that provides support and move on services to our clients so that they can develop the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives. About the role and the team We are recruiting to fill three (3) Young People Support Workers roles at new service in Didsbury. The appointed candidates will join the team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent basis with flexible rota that includes a mix of 07:30-15:00 shifts and 14:30-22:00, in a pattern of 4 early shifts, 2 days off, 4 late shifts. As Young People Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting our twelve 16-25 year old residents to move from hostel living to their own independent accommodation.
