CINSS is an interdisciplinary team who support people to receive ongoing specialist neurological therapy and rehabilitation at home following a diagnosis of stroke, brain or spinal cord injury. We are fully embedded in the newly centralised Coventry and Warwickshire Stroke Pathway and work collaboratively to deliver a client centred, goal focused, and outcome led approach to rehabilitation and support. The Government and leading organisations across the health and social care system are committed to Transforming Care for people with learning disabilities and /or autism and who may display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, Intensive Support Team is now well established and continues to be an integral part of the Transforming Care Programme. Due to the continuing success and development of our Community Learning Disability Services, Intensive Support Team, we are pleased to be recruiting a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to add to the current O.T. resource in the team. This is a new role, and it is expected that it will form part of a rotational post across other Directorates within the Trust which will give the successful applicant, the opportunity to gain experience working in other areas. Intensive Support Team is a multi-disciplinary team at the forefront of Community Learning Disability service delivery and is a progressive and dynamic service. We support people who have a learning disability and whose behaviour may challenge, to remain in the community and avoid an inappropriate hospital admission. The team also supports the discharge of people from a learning disability/mental health hospital and works with people to develop and maintain relationships and get the support they need to live healthy, safe and meaningful lives in the community. We see this as an ideal opportunity to further develop specialist skills. It is important you have good communication skills and can work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
