Responsibility
- maintaining all garden equipment to ensure they are in perfect working order
- cutting and maintaining the lawns to ensure a perfect lawn for our guests
- general tree maintenance and production of logs for fires
- ensuring the grounds, terraces etc are well maintained to meet the guests' expectations
- assisting with the safe keeping of the main hotel drive in winter conditions to ensure safety at all times
- assisting with the safekeeping and tidiness of all public areas including the drives and footpaths
Requirements
- previous experience of gardening with a genuine interest or desire to progress in horticulture
- ability to work both as part of a team or unsupervised
- experience of handling gardening machinery and the required certificates of competence
- attention to detail and a strategic thinker
- flexibility in the working week
- qualification in gardens and/or landscape management
- full valid driving license
- gardening: 5 years
