BAKER & BAKER GROUP is looking for employees for positions:
warehouse operatives
Responsibility
- this on occasion will require orders to be picked using a manual hand truck so manoeuvring various weights will be required
- stock counts will be conducted on an individual basis so care and thoroughness is a must
- be confident in using basic IT and packing equipment such as WMS , Printers , RF Scanners label machines
- working in a fast paced, KPI driven environment alongside a highly diverse team of warehouse operatives to pick individual customer orders and parcel up goods and ensure the parcels are wrapped safely and labelled correctly
- undertake general Warehouse duties such as, cleaning, removing packaging and tiding work areas
- items been picked daily weight from 1KG to 20KG but dependant on customer requirements this can be higher. MHE equipment will be used when necessary
- some stock counting may be required to be done from a scissor lift so will be expected to be lifted to a maximum of 9M high
- help maintain a tidy and safe working environment ensuring housekeeping standards are followed daily
Requirements
- knowledge of Working within a supply and demand warehouse environment – Essential
- one years’ experience working within a busy warehouse environment, dealing with demanding customers to meet deadlines – Essential
- working with a WMS and scanners for picking orders to customers. - Essential
- working within a 3PL or similar, Working with multiple types of customers in house and externally
- to be able to work within the parameters of SOP’s and documented processes
- good communication skills both written and verbal as these will be required when working other key stakeholders within the business
- good numeracy and literacy skills as main workload consists of working from paper and RF Scanner
- able to prioritise own workload and manage accordingly
