- on behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager for a 12-month contract contract based in Edinburgh

- facilitate sprint workshop delivery

- develop MVP , detailed design spec outputs, project plans, workstream progress reports
- set appropriate delivery methodologies

- be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure that objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints
- to support a number of Project Directors with the planning and coordination of projects, take on administrative duties and independently manage some of the necessary work elements
- lead, support and initiate change against the Performance Measurement Baseline
- looking at time frames ensuring delivering against cost / budget-Facing off to colleagues within specialist areas. Tech involved, looking at first 60 days and understand what success looks like, Looking at future roadmaps
- consult a wide range of stakeholders and explore a robust range of options and evidence bases to develop, seek approval for, and maintain Project Plans, including ; schedules; milestones; risks; resource plans; costs; benefits; assumptions, dependencies and risk management plans
- play a key role in project governance, working with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable the projected benefits to be realised
- you will work with various teams and stakeholders to monitor project progress and provide oversight to ensure projects are completed on time and budget and deliver the agreed specification
- develop the budget and track delivery within budget
- lead, initiate and perform risk and opportunity identification and subsequent actions
- develop any associated business cases in line with Defence Investment Appraisal policy, demonstrating value for money, considering a robust range of options and seeking appropriate funding through relevant investment approval authorities
- identify and manage stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support. Manage internal and external relationships as appropriate

Requirements
- led or played a critical role in the delivery of complex projects and programmes
- A successful track record of managing projects, preferably in a public-sector environment
- candidate will need to work independently
