Responsibility
- the role requires resilience and a dedication to safeguarding, making sure the young people are safe through the night
- this position will require you understand the young person care plans, updating logs, records and reports
- westgate Lifestyle is a residential care home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home can accommodate up to 4 young people from age 8-18 years old
- we are a diverse, vibrant and multi skilled team who genuinely care about the progress a child makes and the journey we guide them along
- we are looking for hard working and dedicated waking night members of staff to join our team, with experience in residential care, working with young people and challenging behaviours
- you will also be required to liaise with external agencies, including the police and off duty social work teams, in the event of any incidents of missing young people
- you will also be responsible for overseeing the other night staff and ensuring the shift runs smoothly and relevant tasks are completed in a timely manner
- there will be a requirement to carry out various health and safety checks, deep cleaning and domestic chores. We will provide on-going training and regular meetings, to keep you updated with the young person's evolving care plans
