Responsibility
- understand the layout and change over times for swimming to ensure lessons can start promptly with no delays
- check all safety and first aid equipment prior to start of shift and sign off log sheets
- to administer any necessary first aid and complete the school accident form
- the Lifeguard will be called upon to undertake the duties in supervising the pool area to ensure the safety of all the pool users
- treat all parents, staff and children with courtesy and respect
- to ensure you have a knowledge and understanding of the PSOP in order to follow and implement them if such an event occurs
- arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time to prepare the pool and ensure everything is in place for the start of the sessions
- to remain vigilant and pro-active to ensure the safety of all users in the pool
