Responsibility
- in the position of Head Chef you will be expected to implement the management and organisation of the kitchen
- A Head Chef position has become available to relaunch and lead a team at The Pickled Goose for our reopening in 2023. Serving fresh local produce in a venue that gained a reputation for consistent high quality food and service
- you must have an excellent knowledge of food safety, cooking skills and have demonstrated the ability to lead a brigade in a high volume, fresh food establishment
- working with the directors and general manager, you will be involved in menu planning and costings, training of junior chefs and other kitchen staff, and be committed to the delivery of key performance indicators such as gross profit levels, wage costs in the kitchen and customer satisfaction
- job Criteria: Strong leadership and kitchen management skills are essential for this position
- this position will require the skills of a dedicated professional who has the imagination and commitment to assist in the relaunch of an already established business model
- the successful applicant will hold the appropriate qualifications for the role and live, or be prepared to relocate within a commutable distance
- excellent rate of pay with a great work life balance. 40 hour per week contract plus tips and paid overtime. No split shifts, working week from Wednesday to Sunday
