- seek root cause and a permanent fix for identified issues to avoid repeat non-conformance or inefficiency
- manage control of quality data and critical business documentation

- the primary objective of this role is to ensure adherence to quality processes, maintain product quality, manage supplier quality, oversee pre-delivery preparation, and uphold the overarching Quality Management Systems to sustain Swift Standards and drive continual improvement
- drive innovation in efficiency and product quality improvements
- through excellent planning and a high degree of organisational skills the successful candidate will ensure adherence to the production schedules and positively approach challenges with a solution focused mind-set
- as the Quality Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Quality and lead a team of Operational Quality Managers and their respective teams
- collaborate closely with the Warranty Department and Dealer Support to address customer feedback and promptly resolve potential issues
- in managing this successfully they will have the ability to be creative in the solutions deployed when facing challenges and will empower others to do the same

- report KPI data and action plans as agreed with the Head of Quality
- make balanced decisions with due regard to the inclusion of others, and listening to input whilst maintaining dynamism in the decision making process
- monitor and drive improvements in supplier quality
- effectively manage area workloads and priorities in order to ensure the team take a focused and targeted approach to achieving consistent results
- support continuous learning and development and assist in identifying competency gaps and facilitating knowledge transfer and skills enhancement in partnership with the Swift Academy
- actively support and promote the EPIC core values program
- reduce warranty claims and address dealer concerns regarding delivered products
- perform other duties as required and directed by the Head of Quality

- proactively contribute to improvement activities and development within the scope of the role

Requirements
- ideally possess a graduate degree qualification in engineering, quality, or a related discipline
- minimum of 5 years of management experience
- minimum 3 years’ experience in a Senior Production position

- extensive experience of managing and developing a team through effective leadership and coaching skills
- proven track record of implementing quality systems and driving performance improvements
- confident and assertive individual able to influence and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- experience in regulated sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, or Medical devices is preferred
- self-aware with the ability to adapt leadership style in order to provide effective one on one coaching and mentoring
- familiarity with APQP and FMEA
- strong administrative and organisational skills and the ability to think and act methodically and decisively
- strong people management skills
- A strong team player who collaborates across the organisation
- demonstrated commitment to professional development and self-learning
- good IT skills are essential, with particular knowledge of Microsoft packages and production/build schedules
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
