Responsibility
- overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring that all transactions comply with accounting regulations and company policies
- design and building processes from scratch to support the business growth, bringing all aspects of finance in house including payroll
- preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and recommending action based on results
- build and manage a team to meet company growth targets
- designing and implementing financial policies and procedures, including budgeting and forecasting
- managing the company's financial relationships, liaising with banks, auditors and advisors
- ensuring that financial information and reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all statutory and regulatory requirements
- developing and implementing financial controls to safeguard the company's assets and manage risk
Requirements
- demonstrable experience in accounting or financial management, ideally in an ecommerce consumer goods industry
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field or CIMA qualified
- knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards and regulations
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail
- strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- experience building and managing a team
- accounting: 5 years
- sound knowledge of financial reporting software and enterprise resource planning systems
