Matthew is a con man and a pathological liar.

He has told me he will call me back on 17 occasions and never once has.
He has 5 verbal promises that he has never fulfilled.
He has wasted my time with no communication or apology on 7 occasions.
The warranty is fake and does not actually allow you to make claims.
Matthew would rather string you along for months with empty promises and blatant lies rather than tell you the truth and respect your time.
I still do not even had a Logbook V5C after 5 months and having chased it up multiple times.

Avoid this garage at all costs.

Well we got the car back after waiting another 2 weeks .... I had to pick it up from his garage ... I was told that all the work it needed had been done NOT .
Matt had quite conveniently gone up west to his caravan !!! It was outside with the bonnet up the doors open , so I asked his mechanic if it was all right to drive, yes I was told "all done " I asked if he had put fuel in it as I had to drive back to Cardiff, there wasn't the red light was on , Matt had told me he had replaced the engine replaced the heater matrix.....he hadn't all he had done was stopped it overheating, minus all the plastic engine covers , ie supercharger intercooler cover , an elecal box top numerous nuts and bolts missing and into the bargain most of the brackets and bolts holding the front bumper were missing ... it was absolutely filthy with a few new dents and scratches, loads of rattling parts , basically the car shouldn't have been sold in the condition it was in , I was told by Matt that it was a 2 ower car but as he didn't give me the log book he couldn't prove it. When the log book came back from the DVLA it had 9 owners not 2 , I can't express enough how totally p# off I am with the experience I have had with buying a car from this trader. I was numerous parts on the car were changed .... they weren't ! No new battery but I was told was fitted , It screams from the supercharger pulley or the pulley belt , leaks oil all over my handstand and is basically a big load of rubbish.
If you need a car go somewhere else.

Just a complete load of lies constantly.

Don’t deal with this Guy if something goes wrong and you buy a vehicle and it turns out to be not fit for satisfactory. Chasing the guy for 5 weeks to repair my van after he said it would be done in 4 days.
I’m still chasing the Guy up for £10,800
40 days I have been trying to get my mo way back off him and all he does is make up excuses I will have a few grand for you this weekend the weekend comes ring up and he’s like I’m just waiting for a customer to and buy a vehicle and then I will meet with you to drop the money off.

Still no money
Failed to fixed my van after it broke after 500 miles
Accepted a refund I write a review before this and he rang me to take it down and said the longer the post is up the longer it will take me to pay you back.
He has my van & £10,800 of my money
While I’m left with no vehicle and no money to get a new one I’m expecting a Baby in 2 weeks

I have been with out a van and with out money since 27th of August it’s not the 9th of November. 76 days and Counting
He’s been issued a letter asking for a refund now and I have to wait 14 days before I can take him to Court

Same experience, had to go through the courts

What was your outcome have you had the money back yet ??

I've received the letter saying he's been issued a CCJ but he's failed to pay up.

I need to do the same

Sold faulty car. Promising the world but ending up with silly excuses. 2 months trying to fix a faulty car which he sold to me. Matthew is a liar. How many times he told me: im with the customer I'll call you back in 10?! Then ignoring, then he is away, no staff, half of the family died and on and on! I wouldn't be surprised if he wouldn't pay salaries to his staff.

It's certainly disturbing to hear about these issues. Have you tried pursing this legally or contacting any relevant authorities about the problems with the car and the dealer's dishonest practices? It might be worthwhile.

Honestly, do not believe everything you read on these sites. Myself and my family have bought vehicles from Valley Motor Company and could not be happier. Such an honest seller, very straight with you if you have any questions. Went above and beyond for us and would go back again and again. I suppose you just can’t please everyone. Would definitely recommend.

He can’t contact the relevant authorities (deleted by the administrator) as the vehicle was 4 months out of warranty and the company fixed his car out of kindness! He was also provided with a courtesy car for the entire time his car was off the road. Hardly dishonest?

He is right. Avoid forever .

I wouldn't buy a car from here great if things go okay for you but just think if they go wrong you go to a dealership for peace of mind I've been left with no vehicle and no money since September 2024

Ringing him 20 times a day every time, I'm with a customer I'm just driving I'm just looking at a car. I will ring you back in 10 mins and he never does. Keep your phone handy as the payment will be done today and still nothing.. The more reviews I leave I hope No one else Falls Into the Trap and has to go through what i am since September I've been owed money.

I have .managed to get £5000 in total so Far still owned £6340.

I’d genuinely give ten stars to these boys if I could. Service was fantastic from day one

Once again top service from these guys, we were out of warranty yet they still replaced our clutch master cylinder free of charge

After our vehicle decided to die days before our family holiday we found the perfect replacement at valley motor company. After a short phone call mid afternoon they arranged to get the Audi to us the same day arriving at 11pm which was a massive help despite them being some distance away from us so we were able to carry on with our holiday as planned. Amazing service!!

I gave 5 stars on my meeting Mathew and buying our dream car, some days after it had a clutch issue ,it was picked up and returned within 3 days with a new clutch and the car had had a valet for my troubles, thank you so much, Mathew and your staff, I'd like to give you 10 stars.

Our mum is an extremely nervous driver and bought a car from this garage . The staff spent over an hour with her in the car making sure she was comfortable driving it it and knew how all the controls worked before she left . Brilliant service

Bought a car from Matt , but after a week it started overheating , after numerous calls to him he finally sent someone to pick it up ,he has now had it for nearly 5 months !
Complete Liar !!! Don't buy a car from this trader , he will lie to your face and fail at every promise he makes.
The man is not to be trusted .

If your ever thinking of your car getting fixed at SW valley motor company DONT, he had my mothers car for 7months supposed to be fixing it and he hasn’t done shit to it, got it back in worse condition than it was the inside is absolutely filthy, it’s all soaked and smells of damp, he’s supposed to be giving my mother a refund still hasn’t! The key don’t even work and it won’t even start, don’t ever trust Mathew peachy such a scum of a man

I lost my father 6 months ago and I have had a car on finance on his name that I had been paying for. The finance company would not let me keep the car after he passed. I only had the option to sell my car for as much as I could and use some of the money left over to purchase a new car. I visited many garages that wouldn't even try to help me until I found this little gem of a garage. I spoke with the owner Matthew who was willing to buy my car and find me another suitable car for me and my young family. I can honestly say the support I recieved off Matthew has been 5 star. He offered me a very good price for my car which left me with enough money to buy another one from his garage. Not only did he help me deal with my original finance company but he also spent time finding me a car that is perfect. I absolutely love my new car and I would 100% recommend this company all the way from initial contact to after sales also. After grieving the loss of my father, Matthew has definitely helped make my life a little easier with this process.
