Responsibility
- we are based in Hersham village, just outside Walton – on – Thames in Surrey, KT12 4AA
- you are required to work 40 hours per week, with overtime being paid when required by Management
- planning and preparation of fresh, balanced and nutritious meals for all children. Planning weekly menus and placing orders
- lilliput Children's Centre is a very highly regarded 150 place day nursery, open 51 weeks a year, caring for children aged between 5 months and 5 years, with a committed, enthusiastic and dynamic team
- we are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, innovative, and experienced Nursery Cook, qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or, City and Guilds Diploma to join our team
- to liaise with the childcare team with regard to food required for children's activities and special events in the nursery
- you must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be receptive to working with under 5’s. The Cook along with our staff team, has duty of care for all our children
- your main responsibility will be to manage our nursery kitchen efficiently by organizing, preparing, and delivering homemade nutritionally balanced healthy and tasty meals, in accordance with the weekly planned menus, food policies and children’s individual dietary requirements
