technical manager
Responsibility
- lead quality review meetings
- lead the HACCP team
- support in maintaining the QMS, providing product specifications to customers within agreed timescales
- efficiently handle customer complaints, analysing and implementing process changes to drive continuous improvement
- enhance departmental and factory quality procedures for increased efficiency
- oversee all swabbing and calibration schedules to improve manufacturing and quality processes
- conduct internal audits, collaborate on non-conformance solutions, and oversee the BRC audit for the manufacturing site
- supervise annual product traceability, withdrawal, and recall testing
Requirements
- minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Management role, ideally within the food manufacturing industry
- demonstrable Technical expertise supported by a relevant qualification such as a food science degree
- HACCP L4 Food safety qualification or equivalent
- leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop others
- high levels of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail
- well-organised, excelling in managing multiple deadlines
- strong communication skills
- technical management: 1 year
