Requirements
at least 5 years recent experience in a managerial role in a care setting
knowledge of children’s needs and rights, and how they can be best be met
understanding of and commitment to professional supervision
willingness to sleep in and work anti-social hours
the post holder will be expected to continuously develop in their role. It is in the nature of the work of our client that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied
all staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises and deploy tasks which are not specifically covered in their job description but which will be within their level of responsibility
these additional duties will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances or changes in work and they will normally be compatible with the regular type of work. If the additional responsibility or task becomes a
regular or frequent part of the staff member’s job, it will be included in the job description in consultation with the member of staff
Responsibility
address complaints and conduct/ capability issues that arise in line with policy and in collaboration with HR and line management
ensure the services are fully prepared and ready for inspection
investigate complaints and act on findings in collaboration with your line manager

ensure that any risk assessments are completed, signed and shared with appropriate persons
allocate sufficient time, training, support and resources, including cover arrangements, when necessary, to enable the team to carry out their roles effectively, including attendance at strategy
knowledge of recruiting, inducting and developing individuals and teams administration
ensure that all required paperwork is completed and returned to HR including return to work interviews with staff and identification of any additional support required
