Requirements
- be a Qualified Teacher
- relevant post 16 teaching qualification or experience within post 16 provisions
- working knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, National Curriculum, Functional Skills, relevant BTEC and Key Stage requirements
- understand the further education landscape and to be up to date with the latest developments from the DfE / Ofsted
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- demonstrable experience as an outstanding teacher, role modelling best practice
- substantial experience of supporting neurodiverse children, or with Autism and/or Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour; able to promote de-escalation and emotional regulation, supporting young people in forming and sustaining effective relationships
- resilient, committed, and a hard worker - able to keep going in the face of adversity and never giving up
