HUMAN ASSIST TRAINING AND SUPPORT is looking for employees for positions:

Working hours

Responsibility

  • we are looking for support workers that are passionate, flexible and love supporting young people
  • we are looking for passionate, flexible and playful support workers
  • you would be working within activity groups for different age ranges
  • the aim of these groups is to support and encourage children to improve their social skills and become more independent
  • your role would be crucial in making sure children with disabilities have access to quality play and leisure opportunities
  • hours of working would be casual initially, but after training you will have guaranteed weekly hours
  • and providing support to families and their children on a 1:1 basis evenings and weekends
  • the timings of the sessions would be mainly be after-school/evenings and weekends during the term time and durning the week in school holidays and weekends; hours are flexible and can be fit around other commitments you have

Requirements

  • have experience of working with children aged 0 to 19, with a range of disabilities and complexity of needs
  • hold a relevant qualification or considerable relevant experience with in the field
  • have a current Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS certificate
  • you will be supporting children and young people with disabilities age range from
  • male and female staff required, DBS preferred but not essential, training will be given
  • support work: 1 year
  • be an excellent communicator, with good written record-keeping skills, as you will be required to write short session reports and monitor progress
  • 0 to 18 years, Ability to work on your own initiative in professional manor while on supports with your young people and also willingness to work in group sessions when needed
