Requirements
- demonstrate experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in carpentry or woodworking in a commercial environment
- demonstrate an excellent knowledge of native hardwoods and their properties, as well as a range of other materials, oils and varnishes
- independently and accurately, fabricate cabinets and furniture according to specifications, technical drawings and design plans
- demonstrate a full understanding, high level of ability with, and safe, effective use of; power tools, hand tools and larger machinery
- familiarity with electrical installations related to cabinetry is advantageous
- familiarity with basic plumbing techniques related to cabinetry is advantageous
- be willing to question and find solutions to problems
- experience with masonry work is a plus but not essential
