Responsibility

  • to encourage and support the team in adopting the Signs of Safety approach
  • to take a lead in the team using the Signs of Safety approach to social work practice
  • to advocate on behalf of and will help our children and young people achieve good outcomes
  • contribute to effective care planning, including pathway planning with our children and young people, across a variety of placements
  • undertake court work, complete reports, visit children and develop meaningful relationships of change
  • take responsibility for delegated decision making appropriate to the role
  • meet statutory requirements which are in place to safeguard our children and young people, along with ensuring they have the best possible support to enable them to achieve their best outcomes

Requirements

  • problem Solving Skills
  • must have ability to sensitive issues, manage conflict views and expectation. cope with unexpected behaviour
  • experience of working with children in care
  • excellent communication, and Interpersonal skills
  • IT skills and Knowledge of Statutory/regulatory frameworks and legislation
  • post Qualification: 1 year
