Responsibility
- the Little Haven Hotel is seeking a confident and detail orientated individual to join our kitchen team
- maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, storage areas, and equipment according to health and safety guidelines
- organizing and restocking supplies, such as food products, cleaning materials, and utensils
- assisting in receiving and storing deliveries
- collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain an efficient workflow and contribute to a positive work environment
- adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential
- strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays, as required
