Responsibility
- the Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring all product compliance against specification and quality
- standards prior to delivery through regular independent inspections
- travel is a requirement of the role, due to the company operating on two sites in Scunthorpe and Wisbech

- we are looking for a Quality Control Engineer for one of our manufacturing clients, who are in their 9th decade of operation and are showing no signs of slowing down
- any other related duties as requested by management
- assist in any third-party audits as required

Requirements
- an experienced Quality Control Engineer with sound knowledge of root cause analysis, product inspections, ISO 9001 and so on
- background in managing Type approval and CoP is highly desirable
- experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is critical
- qualified welding inspector is highly desirable
- understanding of basic LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- understanding of quality management tools such as 8d, 5 whys, FMEA, ishikawa fishbone diagrams, fault tree analysis etc
- formal quality control qualification such as City & Guilds in assessment and quality assurance would be advantageous
- strong character, not afraid to raise examples of poor quality within a team
