  • develop ETCS training materials for all affected job roles
  • manage the approval process for the adoption of training into the operators Safety Management System
  • support the operators in the development of training plans for all roles
  • support operators in the delivery of training for all roles
  • support systems integration testing activities and ensure issues identified are resolved
  • work with all stakeholders to develop ETCS for mainline operations, including attendance of national working groups, representing First Group TOC's interests at each working group
  • support the operators in the revision of their Competence Management and Assessment Systems
  • support Safety validation work within each TOC for the introduction of ETCS

project manager

Responsibility

  • support project delivery from initial scoping to handover to business-as-usual
  • define client requirements and ensure delivery to time, cost and quality standards
  • create and maintain quality project documentation
  • identify stakeholders and keep them appraised through regular reporting
  • ensure all known risks are effectively managed, mitigated and communicated
  • identify and apply change controls as necessary
  • produce assignment case studies and lessons learned

project coordinator

Responsibility

  • supporting the creation and maintenance of project management information, reports and plans
  • tracking, analysing, reporting and forecasting project plans, status and metrics

  • first Group are creating a new IT Service Management function
  • this team will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of IT services across the organisation
  • the IT Service Manager will be primarily responsible for managing in-house and 3rd parties providing technical support services across the Group
  • work with service desk teams, and group-wide resolver groups to ensure that incidents and problems are resolved quickly and efficiently
  • this role will take the lead in Problem Management

  • engage with stakeholders to ensure inputs and reviews are completed on time

  • work proactively to identify, resolve project issues and mitigate project risks, escalating these to the Project Manager and Strategy and Architecture Director as required
