Responsibility
- control the sales ledger system to ensure it runs effectively and efficiently
- accurate processing of all cash receipts in a timely manner
- accurate BACS coding, input and allocation
- posting payments received by BACS to customer accounts
- assist with setting up new customer accounts on the Kerridge system including setting credit limits
- coding remittances and checking to the ledger for unpaid invoices
- chasing overdue balances by phone, email and letter
- dealing customer payment queries
Requirements
- prior experience of working within an all-round accounts role including purchase and sales ledgers
- experience of a busy multi branch ledger
- prior experience of Kerridge system
- great communication skills; confident when liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
- good planning and organisational skills
- all round accounts inc purchase and sales ledger: 1 year
- multi-branch ledger: 1 year
- be able to work on your own initiative in a methodical and organised way
