- we are looking for a dedicated and adaptable teacher to join our therapeutic education team at Elysian, where animals, nature, and outdoor learning play a key role in helping children and young people engage with education
- you don’t need prior experience in secondary education—what matters is a confident, innovative approach to cross-curricular teaching
Responsibility
- develop, lead, and monitor education provision across the setting
- position
- support junior education staff and oversee curriculum development
- ensure compliance with safeguarding, risk assessments, and policies
- collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals to support young people holistically
- contribute to the overall promotion activities of the organisation
- we are looking for an enthusiastic, and confident teacher to join our Therapeutic Education team at Elysian! You will be working under the Education Leaders, and also supervising/supporting some of the more junior education and support staff, whilst undertaking creative and individualised education packages for 11-17yrs old enrolled with the Elysian Education provision
Requirements
- experience and Qualification
- qualified Teacher Status
- significant experience working with vulnerable children and young people
- at least 1 year experience of SEN
- experience with equines and other animals, including general care is beneficial but not essential
- sound knowledge of Safeguarding and good professional boundaries is essential
- teaching: 2 years
- guildford : reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
